CULLIS
ENTERTAINMENT PRESENTS:
James Gregory
|
*$25
|
| THE
FUNNIEST MAN IN AMERICA |
|

|
|
James Gregory is billed as "The
Funniest Man in America" and when you come out to The
Sylvia Theater for his performance you will see why. He can be
heard every week on nationally syndicated shows like "The
John Boy & Billy Show" from right here in the Charlotte
area as well as "The Bob & Tom Show", "The
Rick and Bubba Morning Show" and many other media
appearances. Gregory’s success, like his comedy, is the
direct result of the values he grew up with. And now, twenty
something years later, it is this unique brand of humor that
packs the crowds into his sold-out shows. The absence of
vulgarity sets James apart and his stories are carefully crafted
art. “I have lived long enough to know people, know life”,
Gregory reflects. “My comedy is based on my life experiences.
It’s real, it’s funny and the audience loves it. That’s
why I’m still in business.” |

*$10-$10

Get ready serious music fans for a VERY Special
night of music. Connoisseurs of the original rock n roll scene
will certainly remember these bands and many of the musicians
who make up this night's musical lineup.
The Sylvia Theater is very proud to be able to host some icons
from the legendary Greater Charlotte, NC music scene of the 70s.
These bands are so renowned that they will be immortalized in an
upcoming book by Daniel Coston that recounts the stars, the
stories, the triumphs and tragedies of the movers and shakers of
the early local Carolina rock scene. Hear the music and hear the
stories first-hand at The Sylvia Theater. For those who were
there, come out and reminisce about the glory days. For those
who weren't there, come out and see music history come to life
and see where it all came from. The Good, The Bad & The
Ugly, Mannish Boy, and Young Ages were and are among the best
that Carolinas have to offer musically. |
